Introducing.. Stephen Batterbury

We would like to introduce you to Stephen Batterbury who recently joined us as our new Lettings Manager.

With 35 years’ experience in the property industry, Steve’s career has taken him from Glasgow to South East London and Kingston-Upon-Thames where he was a Director of a highly successful independent estate agent.

Steve has worked in both sales and lettings and has obtained his ARLA and NAEA memberships. Having worked in Guildford since 2009, he has a very detailed knowledge of the property market in and around Guildford and the Surrey Hills and prior to joining Chantries & Pewleys, Steve achieved “Best Letting Agent” at the Surrey Property Awards in 2017 for his office.

Scratching under the surface of Steve’s professional life, he is married with four children and his family also have a dog, two ponies and two guinea pigs!

In his spare time, if Steve isn’t ferrying his children around, he enjoys walking over Blackheath, Shere, Albury and Winterfold, although is a self-confessed fair-weather walker! He also enjoys a weekly game of football as well as playing squash when he can.

Towards the end of 2008, his love of football took him to Sri Lanka, where he spent three months as a volunteer coaching football and teaching English at three local underprivileged schools.

So there is a little bit about Steve in a nutshell!
